Recently, I received an assignment to design an ability icon for a game character along with a matching frame. The task required me to stay true to the character's style and color palette while capturing the atmosphere of the ability.
I created two draft versions of the icons and frames to explore different approaches. For the final version, I decided to bring my idea for the “Lullaby” ability to life. This ability puts characters into sleep and oblivion, and I worked hard on the details to convey this concept. I drew inspiration from smooth lines, soft shapes, and muted colors that evoke a sense of calm and mystery.
This project was an exciting challenge that allowed me to not only work on the visuals but also dive deeper into the story behind the ability. What do you think about this approach?
