Glorious image from Ātharvaṇas (Muṇḍaka) Upaniṣad: Two birdies cling to one tree, keeping together. One pecks berries, while another just looking. This picture symbolizes Jiva and Antaryāmin, Bhagavān, locatеd in one body such as a tree. Berries represent fetus of karma. In life, in sansāara, jiva always tastes the fruits of perfect deeds given to it. Tho' the fruits are not always sweet, being abstracted from Bhagavān, Jiva always remains dependent on them. Bhagavān is always self-dependent and self-sufficient.
