This illustration is a handmade work of love and passion, created using professional-colored pencils to capture the tender and honest essence of a child’s world. I chose this work for its unique ability to create a soft and breathtaking texture – a tactile warmth that digital tools simply cannot create.
Every stroke on the paper was a step towards breathing life and light into these characters, making them real and relatable to young children. My goal was to create a visual sanctuary: a space where vibrant colors meet emotional depth, inviting young readers into a story that feels as safe and comfortable as a hug. I believe that a children’s book should be more than just pictures; it should be a piece of the artist’s soul, which I have poured into every detail of this work.
